Domestic Violence Task Force

The Domestic Violence Task Force (DVTF) was initially convened by the District Attorney in 1994, and the DA's Office has continued to chair and host the bi-monthly collaborative meetings. Among other accomplishments, the DVTF was instrumental in the development and implementation of the County's Domestic Violence Death Review Team (DVDRT), which is now in its second year.

Last year VW assisted over 3,800 crime victims and family members, and over 1,000 of those were victims of domestic violence or domestic violence-related cases. Many of the victim services are safety-related, including the preparation of criminal protective orders for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking, safety planning and crime prevention information and victim relocation assistance, and home security systems through the Victim Compensation Program (VCP).
