Bid/RFP Opportunities

Purchasing Services partners with Public Purchase, a web based eProcurement service. Public Purchase provides government agencies and their vendors with a comprehensive and easy to use web based eProcurement system. For our vendors, this eProcurement system provides you with automatic notification and transmittal of bid solicitations to vendors.

In addition, Public Purchase gives you access to bid opportunities with other government entities. All of this is provided at no charge. To view or respond to any solicitation, you must be registered with Public Purchase. This two-step registration process will only take a few minutes with instructions available on the Vendor Registration page. Once you are registered, click on the appropriate listing and you will be forwarded to Public Purchase where you can login to view and/or respond to the solicitation.

If there are any questions on Open or Closed Bids please Contact the Purchasing Services by email to purchasing@co.slo.ca.us or by phone at (805) 781-5200.

Master Contracts

This list provides information on all master contracts currently shared among County departments.

Surplus Property

Surplus property is tangible property that is no longer of use to any County department because it is obsolete, uneconomical to repair, or valued only for its base contents. Surplus property may include anything from office supplies and furniture to vehicles and heavy equipment.

Before releasing any surplus property, the County of San Luis Obispo makes every attempt to reuse and/or reassign the property to another department within the County.

General surplus property and vehicles are periodically sold online at Public Surplus.

Unclaimed and stolen items found during criminal investigations by the Sheriff’s Office are auctioned on a website called Property Room. This site specializes in Police and Sheriff Departments unclaimed items.

Vendor Registration

This service allows you to receive and view bid notifications and submit bid documents. In order to begin to receive bid notifications as a vendor, you must register with our e-Procurement system.
