Improvements to SLO Vets Hall Landscaping

This landscaping update was a community effort, with the labor and materials provided by the San Luis Obispo Chapter of the California Landscape Contractors Association.
The County celebrated the completion of beautiful new SLO Veterans Hall landscaping at a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 8. This landscaping update was a community effort, with the labor and materials provided by the San Luis Obispo Chapter of the California Landscape Contractors Association.
The Vets Hall now has a welcoming outdoor gathering area off the front patio and drought-tolerant landscaping that reduces irrigation needs.
Students of Cal Poly’s landscape architecture program originally designed the project; the San Luis Obispo Chapter of the California Landscape Contractors Association provided labor and materials; and County staff from County Parks, Public Works, and Central Services oversaw the project.
