Frequently Asked Questions

Can I just show up at the Clinic on Wheels and be served?

If you are an adult with MediCal Insurance, you are welcome to come to the scheduled Clinic on Wheels day on a first come, first serve basis, for open appointment times.

However, if you do not want to wait, it is best for you to call (805) 781-5564 to schedule your primary health care visit on the Clinic on Wheels and learn about all of the services available to you in the SLO Health Integration project.

I would like to enroll in the SLO-Health Integration Project but I am not sure I want to stop smoking or change my diet. Can I still use the service?

Absolutely. We are here to help provide you with information about your health and support you in your health goals.

If I enroll in SLO-Health Integration Project, can I still go to the Community Health Centers for my primary health care?

Yes. The Clinic on Wheels provided at the Health Campus is to encourage Behavioral Health clients to participate in their primary health care, but you can always go to any CHC Clinic for your health care, if you prefer.
