Recreational Health (Public Swimming Pools, Spas, Beach Water Quality)

The purpose of this program is to protect human health by assuring that public swimming pools and spas are maintained in a safe and healthful condition.

Whether you are a public swimming pool operator or a home owner, it is important to ensure that the physical and chemical environment of your pool or spa is in a safe and healthy condition.  The resource links below can provide some additional helpful information to ensure your family, friends and/or customers can swim safe and be healthy.

The purpose of this program is to monitor beach water quality at specific locations along the coast and provide information regarding the results of the monitoring within the County of San Luis Obispo so people can make an informed choice on where to swim.
