College Prevention & Wellness

College Prevention & Wellness Coordinator Contact: Annie Jankovitz at [email protected] or (805) 781-4078 This program is designed to provide mental health and substance use education, along with supports for wellness initiatives, in the County’s campus communities. Included in this role is participation in campus policy groups, outreach to campus groups, and acting liaison for county initiatives. Components include: Community Outreach: Outreach through health fairs, public speaking, and wellness activities (e.g. WOW, Buck the Stigma, Mustang Mile, Out of the Darkness Walk, Suicide Prevention Month, Mental Health Awareness Month, Open House, etc).

Educational Trainings: The College Prevention & Wellness program includes Mental Health First Aid and QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper training for the campus communities, including students, staff, and faculty.

Cal Poly Friday Night Live (FNL): This college-based chapter provides student leaders with opportunities to develop education and activities that promote wellness and prevent substance use disorders and related consequences among youth and young adults.
