The County coordinates two great resources through your benefits programs to help you find providers that in-network, address your medical needs and have availability within your time frame:

  1. Accolade - connect with an Accolade healthcare assistant by contacting them at (866) 406-1275. Your Accolade healthcare assistant can help you identify in-network providers based on your medical plan.
  2. Blue Shield Provider Search - Identify in-network providers for your specific plan and in your area using the Blue Shield provider search website. Review our Blue Shield Provider Search Instructions for a step by step guide on how to use the website.

Your Doctor's Office Go to a doctor's office when you need preventive or routine care. Your doctor can access your medical records, manage your medications and refer you to a specialist, if needed.

Urgent Care (UC) Urgent care is ideal for when you need care quickly, but it is not an emergency (and your doctor isn't available). Urgent care centers treat issues that aren't life threatening.

Emergency Room (ER) The ER is for serious life-threatening or very serious conditions that require immediate care. This is also when to call 911.
