Climate Services

The Climate Services Program is guided by the EnergyWise Plan, which was adopted by the Board of Supervisors on November 22, 2011. The EnergyWise Plan identifies ways in which the community and County government can reduce greenhouse gas emissions from sources in San Luis Obispo County. Looking at four key sectors--energy, waste, transportation, and land use--the EnergyWise Plan incorporates best practices with public input to provide a blueprint for achieving greenhouse gas emissions reductions in the unincorporated towns and rural areas of San Luis Obispo County.

The Climate Services Program also provides technical assistance to other local governments and community groups in the County. Technical support for climate action planning is available to all local governments in San Luis Obispo County. Grant writing and climate measure implementation support for local governments and community groups is offered as staffing availability allows.
