Construction was completed in the early Summer of 2022, after experiencing some delays related to supply chain materials and equipment. Animal Services Staff is now moved into the new facility and a ribbon cutting ceremony took place on September 21, 2022. The new facility was a Team effort in Design-Build between the County, Kitchell (Construction Management), Swatt Meiers (Design Architect), F&H Construction, LDA Partners (Architect of Record), and many other local consultants and subcontractors, such as: Thoma Electric Inc., Cannon, Boneso Brothers, Earth Systems and others. Total budget for the project is $20,348,740.

Upcoming Work

The Animal Services Facility project is in it's final phase with the construction of the new Large Animal Barn which began this past summer and is scheduled to be completed mid-October 2023. This scope will include site grading, a concrete mat slab, pipe rail fencing, a 4-stall equestrian barn, and minor site improvements.
