UPDATE: Shandon Water System - Boil Notice in Effect

Shandon Water System has been repaired, boil water notice in effect until testing results are available on Thursday, December 21, 2017.
COUNTY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS REPORTS – On Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at approximately 3:30 PM, County crews repaired a main water line accidentally damaged earlier in the day by a contractor working near the San Juan Creek Bridge on Centre Street in Shandon, causing the water system to lose pressure.
Although the water line has been repaired and the water system pressure has returned, the attached Boil Water Notice has been issued to protect public health. Residents of Shandon – County Service Area 16 – are advised to use boiled tap water or bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes as a safety precaution until testing results are available on Thursday, December 21, 2017.
