Probation has opened a Juvenile Services Office in Atascadero
Implementation of Proposition 69 requirements for juveniles
Began the Youth and Family Restoration Program in an effort to reduce out of home placements
Court Reports now have time stamped receipt to track timeliness
In collaboration with the Juvenile Court a special truancy calendar has started
After our Federal Drug Court Grant expired, the department was able to continue the program by identifying other funding sources
Stationing a Collection Officer at JSC to enhance collection for victims in juvenile cases
Added a new Truancy Probation Officer with the Atascadero Unified School District
Increased Spanish speaking Probation Officers in the Juvenile Division by two officers
Started a tutoring project for minors on Diversion in the North County
Out-of-Home Case Plan attached to the Dispositional Reports for all cases where Probation is recommending out-of-home placement
