The Design Division provides civil engineering design and coordination services to the San Luis Obispo County Public Works Department. Services provided include:

• Field surveys including topographic, boundary, monumentation and construction staking
  
  
• Computer aided design and drafting, including topographic basemapping and improvement plan preparation
  
  
• Design and preparation of construction documents for Department capital improvement and maintenance projects, including roads, bridges, drainage, flood control, water and wastewater improvements
  
  
• Development of construction contract documents and administration of advertising, bidding and awarding of County Public Works Department projects
  
  
• Right of way and utility coordination for Department projects and facilities
