NORTH COUNTY AREA-   

Upcoming road work -  week of May 11 , 2008:

  *MISSION ST. between 13th Street & 14th Street 

Motorists are asked to reduce speeds when approaching the construction project area. Please follow signs.Work should be complete in approximately 2 months.

  

    *FLORENCE ST. (Templeton)-  Road work on Florence between Las Tablas Rd. & Salinas Ave. will begin May 5, 2008 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Alternate routes are recommended during this time. This project should be completed in approximately 2 months.

 *VINEYARD DRIVE-  CAL TRANS & SLO COUNTY PROJECT

   Road widening project for the Vineyard Dr. interchange on Hwy 101 inTempleton, Ca. There will be 5 nights of complete closure of Hwy 101 for partial bridge demolition & construction reports.  There will also be 4 nights of one-lane closure for temporaory concrete barrier placement.  Motorists are asked to drive with caution through this work zone. Work should be completed by July 2009.

 

 

Update: Nacimiento Water Project Work Schedule

* SALINAS ROAD ,(south of Santa Clara Rd. in Atascadero) -

Work for the Nacimiento Water Project

starting May 12, 2008 -  continued installation of the Nacimiento Pipeline along the unimproved portions of Salinas Rd., south of Santa Clara Rd. and near Sandoval Rd. is scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work in this area is anticipated to be complete late May 2008.

ACCESS WILL REMAIN OPEN TO BUSINESSES.  THERE IS NO ROAD CLOSURE ANTICIPATED FOR THIS PART OF THE PROJECT  along Salinas Rd.

 

*TEMPLETON ROAD-  Work for the Nacimiento Water Project

*from Lupine Lane to El Pomar Drive 7a.m. to 5 p.m.,  Starting April 28, 2008   Monday through Friday.

Traffic Update for Templeton Road, Templeton, CA, April 22, 2008

The San Luis Obispo County Department of Public Works reports that the construction of the Nacimiento Water Project – Pipeline Central, by Whitaker Contractors Inc., calls for the installation of a ductile iron pipeline along Templeton Road. Work will begin on April 28, 2008, and will require the closure of Templeton Road from Lupine Lane to El Pomar Drive (approximately 2 ¾ miles) during construction hours.

Traffic will be detoured along Lupine Lane and El Pomar Drive (a 6.5 mile detour). Construction hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Access will remain open to businesses. Work in this location is anticipated to be complete in early May 2008.

*MONTEREY ROAD- Work for the Nacimiento Water Project

*Construction will begin on Monterey Road near the intersection of Highway 101 and Monterey Road and continue north toward Wellsona Road. Lane closures and traffic delays can be expected between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Construction is anticipated to be completed on this portion of Monterey Road by early June 2008.

 

*ROCKY CANYON ROAD- Work for the Nacimiento Water Project

*Rocky Canyon Road will be closed at the intersection of Highway 41 beginning on April 23, 2008. A detour will route traffic from Rocky Canyon Road to Creston Eureka Road to Hwy 41 (a 1/2 mile detour). This detour will be in effect 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Work is anticipated to be complete at this location in early June 2008.

 

     **ALSO-  ON ANOTHER PORTION OF ROCKY CANYON RD further south- **

*Rocky Canyon Rd- approximately 1.25 miles north of Halcon Rd.

NO ROAD CLOSURE ON THIS PORTION OF ROCKY CANYON RD., BUT EXPECT HEAVY CONSTRUCTION THROUGHOUT THIS AREA!

 

*EL CAMINO REAL-Work for the Nacimiento Water Project

*Construction will continue south on El Camino Real between Santa Margarita Creek and Highway 58. Flag zone delays can be expected between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Construction is anticipated to be completed on this portion of El Camino Real by mid-May 2008.

*Work will begin on El Camino Real / Hwy 58 on April 14, 2008, about 3200 feet east of the Hwy 58 / Hwy 101 overpass . The work will proceed west along Hwy 58 and turn south to the frontage road to the Santa Margarita Booster Pump Station. One lane traffic control will be implemented and motorists can expect delays up to five minutes. Construction hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Work on this stretch of El Camino Real / Hwy 58 is anticipated to be complete by mid-May 2008.

  *CAMBRIA DRIVE - MARCH 21, 2008 THROUGH FALL 2008  Cambria Drive will be completely closed for road work.  Local traffic will need to use  Windsor Blvd. during this time.

SOUTH COUNTY AREAS-

 * ROAD CLOSURE-   APRIL 21, 2008 THROUGH EARLY JULY 2008.

  *HALCYON ROAD-  from Hwy One(Cienaga Avenue) to Mesa View Rd. Traffic will be detoured via Hwy One for extensive road work  . Residential traffic will be permitted, but expect minor delays. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes during this time.
