Construction Phase

Overall Project Description

The San Luis Obispo County Flood Control and Conservation District (District), in conjunction with the City of Paso Robles, Atascadero Mutual Water Company (AMWC), Templeton Community Services District (TCSD), City of San Luis Obispo, and County Service Area 10, Zone A (CSA 10A), has initiated the construction phase of the Nacimiento Water Project.  The Project has a construction value of approximately $125 million and will transmit raw water from Lake Nacimiento to communities within San Luis Obispo County. 

The Project's infrastructure consists of a 180-foot intake shaft and wetwell, 45 miles of pipe ranging from 36 inches to 12 inches, four turnouts, three pump stations, three welded steel strorage tanks, and a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system.

The Project is expected to be completed by December 2010.
