Index to Maps
The Map Index is a list of all official subdivision maps (Parcel Maps and Tract Maps) and Records of Survey of lands within San Luis Obispo County on file with the County Recorder's Office and all official Corner Records filed by Licensed Surveyors/Engineers with the County Surveyor sorted by various categories such as owner, date of recording, Surveyor/Engineer, etc. Copies of the maps are not available from the Public Works Department, please contact the County Recorder's office to obtain copies of the maps.
Index to Plans
The Plan Index is a list of all construction drawings and record drawings ("as-builts") of improvements to public roads and other infrastructure on file with the San Luis Obispo County Public Works Department (PWD) sorted by various categories such as Tract Number, Engineer, Owner, etc., each drawing has a numerical file name (e.g. "231123"), please reference that number when requesting a copy of the drawing. Drawing numbers 1-24999 are unavailable in digital format at this time, contact the PWD to obtain copies. Document numbers >25000 are in digital (TIFF) format and will soon be available via this website. Contact the PWD for further information.
Interactive Geographic Information System
A new Interactive Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping website sponsored by the Department of Planning & Building is now available. You can search for parcels using the Assessor Parcel Number or an address. The website allows you to view an aerial map that can be overlaid with zoning, hazard, school district and other information. You can access this site by selecting “Zoning and Maps” at the bottom of the navigation menu on the left, then navigate to Interactive GIS Mapping, or click here: www.sloplanning-maps.org
