Work for the Nacimiento Water  Project

Beginning August 20, 2008, survey crews will be in the area. Motorists should expect flag controlled work areas during this time.

     

 ***Also, EL POMAR DRIVE-  starting week of August 25, 2008

Pipe line installation will begin on August 27, 2008. The pipe line installation part of the work will require daily lane closures and flag controlled construction zones during construction hours. Motorists and residents are cautioned to expect traffic delays, movement of heavy construction equipment and construction materials stored near the roadway. Construction hours will be 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work in this location is anticipated to be complete in late September 2008.


  
 *VINEYARD DRIVECAL TRANS & SLO COUNTY PROJECT
   Road widening project for the Vineyard
Dr. interchange on Hwy 101 inTempleton, Ca. There will be 5 nights of complete closure of Hwy 101 for partial bridge demolition & construction reports.  There will also be 4 nights of one-lane closure for temporary concrete barrier placement.  Motorists are asked to drive with caution through this work zone. Work should be completed by July 2009.

starting week of July 2, 2008.    Temporary Road Closure- 

*SANTA YSABEL ROAD in Paso Robles
A one lane traffic controlled area will be in effect 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Residents who live on Santa Ysabel Road are advised to expect construction traffic and traffic delays. Emergency access to The Santa Ysabel Ranch will be maintained, but residents are advised to use the South River Road entrance for the duration of the work. Construction hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work in this location is anticipated to be complete in late August, 2008.

Work for the Nacimiento Water  Project
MOSS LANE   IS CLOSED TO THROUGH TRAFFIC   and  OPEN TO RESIDENTIAL TRAFFIC ONLY,  while work is being done  elsewhere on Templeton Road. Signs will be posted 300 ft. south of Moss Lane along  Lupine Lane and another sign placed  on the shoulders of El Pomar Drive north of Moss Lane indicating  'Road Closed - Local Traffic Only'. This will remain in place until approximately mid-July 2008.
 
 * LAKE NACIMIENTO DRIVE, PASO ROBLES, CA –  starting June 3, 2008 -

Work for the Nacimiento Water Project

The San Luis Obispo County Department of Public Works reports that the construction of the Nacimiento Water Project, Intake, by James W. Fowler Co., calls for the construction of a 180-foot shaft near Lake Nacimiento Dam. Excavation of this shaft began in January 2008, and now requires the use of blasting to facilitate rock removal from the shaft bottom excavation. Blasting will commence on Thursday, June 5, 2008. Motorists should expect traffic delays on this portion of Lake Nacimiento Drive of approximately 1 to 5 minutes during detonations. Blasting may occur twice per week between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The detonation will be clearly audible, but negligible ground vibration is anticipated outside of the construction fence perimeter. Blasting in this location may continue until mid-August 2008.

 

 *SANDOVAL ROAD- Work for the Nacimiento Water Project
Work for the Nacimiento Water Project starting July 21,  2008
*Work has resumed on Sandoval Road with the installation of a 36” casing under the Union Pacific railroad, pipeline testing and road restoration. Motorists should expect flag zone construction areas and traffic delays.


Work to repave Sandoval Road is expected to begin on August 4, 2008. Repaving work will require the closure of Sandoval Road during construction hours. Access will be maintained only for local residents, who should expect traffic delays and heavy construction traffic. Construction hours will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work in this location is anticipated to be complete in Mid August 2008.

 

 

*TEMPLETON ROADWork for the Nacimiento Water Project

  starting week of August 18, 2008

The San Luis Obispo County Department of Public Works reports that the construction of the Nacimiento Water Project – Pipeline Central, by Whitaker Contractors Inc., calls for the installation of a 24" ductile iron pipeline along Templeton Road. Pipeline installation and road work is now complete, but testing and roadside restoration continues in this area. The road closure has been removed, however, motorists are cautioned to expect construction crews and flag controlled construction areas along Templeton Road. Construction hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work in this location is anticipated to be complete in early September 2008.

*VAQUERO ROAD-  in Templeton   starting week of August 18, 2008.

Work for the Nacimiento Water Project

The San Luis Obispo County Department of Public Works reports that the construction of the Nacimiento Water Project, Pipeline Central, by Whitaker Contractors Inc., calls for the installation of 24" ductile iron pipe along Vaquero Drive in Templeton. Pipeline installation continues in this area. The construction activities require a daily closure of Vaquero Drive from the intersection of El Pomar Drive and Vaquero Drive to the end of the paved portion of Vaquero Drive, during construction hours.

Access will be maintained for local businesses and residents only. Motorists and residents are cautioned to expect traffic delays, movement of heavy construction equipment and construction materials stored near the roadway. Construction hours will be 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work in this location is anticipated to be complete in late - August 2008.

 

 

 

ATASCADERO/ SANTA MARGARITA  AREA

*MONTEREY ROAD- Work for the Nacimiento Water Project
* starting week of July 28,  2008

* MONTEREY ROAD-   work will continue in this area with testing and pavement restoration from Exline Road to Wellsona Road and shoulder work restoration from the Hwy 101 intersection to Exline Road. Motorists and residents are advised to expect one lane traffic control, construction equipment, and traffic delays during construction hours. Access to businesses on Monterey Road will be maintained. Construction hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work in this location is anticipated to be complete in early August 2008.


 
 
**ANOTHER PORTION OF ROCKY CANYON RD**
** starting week of July 28, 2008
*ROCKY CANYON  RD-  
approximately 1.25 miles north of Halcon Rd.
Rocky Canyon Road is now open to traffic from Highway 41 to Halcon Road, however, testing and restoration work will continue to take place. Motorists should expect flag zone construction areas and construction equipment traffic during construction hours. Construction hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work in this location is anticipated to be complete in late August 2008.

 
 *EL CAMINO REAL- Work for the Nacimiento Water Project

*  starting week of July 28, 2008

. Restoration work continues on El Camino Real from Asuncion Road to Santa Margarita. Motorists should expect one lane traffic control, construction equipment, and short delays in this area during construction hours. Construction hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work in this location is anticipated to be complete in mid August 2008.

ROADS CLOSED-   in CAMBRIA

 starting week of July 28, 2008

****MOONSTONE BEACH DRIVE*** -  bridge replacement begins.

WORK TO CONTINUE THROUGH JAN. 2009 TO REPLACE Leffingwell Bridge.  Road is still accessible  from either end, but closed to THROUGH  traffic.  Proceed with caution.

 

 

*CAMBRIA DRIVE - MARCH 21, 2008 THROUGH FALL 2008  Cambria Drive will be completely closed for road work.  Local traffic will need to use  Windsor Blvd. during this time.

 ROAD WORK - in  LOS OSOS

*LOS OSOS VALLEY ROAD-

 starting June 2, 2008  /  Completion  date yet to be determined.

Road work on Los Osos Valley Rd between 9th St. & Palisades Ave.,  Monday through Friday,  from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.,  to install a water line. Use alternate routes,  if possible. Roads will be open, but expect some delays throughout this time.

 

 

SOUTH COUNTY AREAS-

Work scheduled to start on both Tefft St. & Thompson Ave. for culverts
