Mission Statement  

 

The mission of the Pesticide Use Enforcement Program of the San Luis Obispo Agricultural Department is to protect people, the environment and the food supply by insuring the safe use of pesticides in San Luis Obispo County.  

Professional pest control operators, pest control advisors, growers, pesticide dealers, and other pesticide users are regulated to prevent the unsafe or illegal use of pesticides.

The department inspects pesticide use, audits pesticide use records, provides user education and investigates complaints and questions related to the legal use of pesticides.
