I am Jim Patterson, elected Supervisor for District 5.  As Supervisor, part of my job, and that of my Legislative Assistant, Amy Gilman, is to provide assistance to District 5 residents with any County government related issues or concerns. Each district within the County is intended to comprise roughly equal portions of the County’s population (269,637 persons, 2010 U.S. Census Bureau), although District 5 tends to be the largest district geographically.  District 5 includes the City of Atascadero, a part of the City of San Luis Obispo, and the unincorporated communities of Creston, South Atascadero, Garden Farms, Santa Margarita, Pozo and California Valley.
