The last report of registration by the county elections official to the Secretary of State’s office is used to determine the number of signatures required in petitions for city initiatives (EC 9214-9215), referendums (EC 9237), city and city and county charters (EC 9255), district initiatives (EC 9310), and recalls (EC 11221).
