OFR is a training and support program for caregivers of drug affected foster and adoptive children up to 5 years old. Training is focused on the care of these medically fragile, substance exposed, and low threshold infants and toddlers.
To become an OFR home, caregivers must be licensed County Foster Family homes, attend three 6 hour OFR Basic Training classes, attend one Support Group meeting, complete specialized caregiver training, and successfully complete an exit interview. Special training is provided and required throughout the year to maintain certification.
