The Independent Living Program works with youth 16-21 years of age currently or formerly in the foster care system.

Click here for information about the new law, called Fostering Connections to Success, which extends Foster Care benefits beyond 18 years of age.

ILP MISSION

The San Luis Obispo Independent Living Program empowers youth through education, life skills training, advocacy, workforce development, and community collaboration.
Through these services, participants in ILP will develop leadership, perseverance, and integrity as they establish lifelong connections that mentor self-sufficiency, independence, and permanency in all aspects of family and community.
