The San Luis Obispo County Public Health Laboratory is an approved California local public health laboratory (State certificate) that maintains licenses, permit and certifications to allow clinical testing (CLIA certificate), environmental testing (ELAP certificate and Accredited fields of testing), transport, handling, testing and storage of select agents (Select Agent certificate, USDA APHIS import permits) and required medical and hazardous waste permits.
