Cross Connection

The purpose of the this program is to protect the public health from chemical or bacterial contamination resulting from backsiphonage or backflow conditions in water systems by enforcing regulations pertaining to cross-connections between potable and non-potable water.

 

Water Systems

The purpose of this program is to protect public health and prevent disease by assuring that small public water systems are at all times safe and water is potable and available in adequate quantity and protected against contaminating backflow.  The purpose of this program is accomplished through inspections, bacteriological and chemical sampling, plan checks, permitting, well log review, enforcement, and public education.

 

Wells

The purpose of this program is to regulate and permit the construction and installation of community water supply wells, individual domestic wells, industrial wells, agricultural wells, cathodic protection wells, electrical grounding wells, test and exploratory holes, observation wells and salt water (hydraulic) barrier wells.
