County Medical Services Program (CMSP)

The Health Agency’s Health Systems Division determines eligibility, and provides utilization review and accounting services to ensure proper access to health care for the medically indigent.

You may be eligible for CMSP if you:

• Are between ages 21-64
• Are not eligible for Medi-Cal
• Are either a legal U.S. citizen or an alien "permanently residing in the United States under Color of Law"
• Live in San Luis Obispo County
• Have low assets and income less than 250% of the poverty level 
• Have a medical need
