The San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors created the Resource Management Task Force (RMTF) after considering recommendations made by a Board-appointed Growth Management Advisory Committee (GMAC). Part of the GMAC's recommendations specified that the RMTF annually compile, evaluate, and present resource information for use by the Board under the provisions of the Resource Management System (RMS) of the county General Plan, Framework For Planning.
