There are new State and Federal regulations pertaining to the abatement of lead based paints and other lead hazards in buildings. Most building constructed prior to 1978 are considered suspicious for having lead based paints.  If you are considering a remodel or demo of an older building, you are now liable for testing the paints for lead content.  Please click on the links below for more information.
