A Notice of Preparation (NOP) of a Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) was prepared and circulated for review for the proposed expansion of the existing Cold Canyon Landfill conditional use permit (DRC2006-00170), located on Highway 227, about five miles south of the City of San Luis Obispo. The County of San Luis Obispo will be the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) lead agency and will prepare the DEIR for the proposed project. A Notice of Preparation (NOP) of a Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) has been prepared and circulated for review for the Morro Bay to Cayucos Connector Trail project which would complete an important segment in the non-motorized transportation network along Highway 1. The project would be a dedicated Class 1 bicycle path and pedestrian corridor, completely separated from vehicular traffic, from the intersection of Yerba Buena Street and Highway 1 in the City of Morro Bay, to the southern end of Studio Drive in the unincorporated community of Cayucos. Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) for AT&T San Luis Obispo to Los Angeles Fiber Optic Project
A Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) has been prepared and circulated for review for the AT&T San Luis Obispo to Los Angeles Fiber Optic Project which would result in the installation of a fiber optic cable project from San Luis Obispo to Los Angeles. The project involves installation of fiber in existing conduit for the majority of the alignment with small areas of new construction to connect the system. A previous project was the subject of an final EIR in 2002 but was never constructed. A Final SEIR has been prepared for the new project. The project applicant is AT&T Corporation. A Notice of Preparation (NOP) of a Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) has been prepared and circulated for review for the Nipomo Community Park Master Plan which would result in the phased construction of recreation facilities and related infrastructure over a 20-year timeframe in Nipomo Community Park and Mesa Meadows open space area. The project applicant is San Luis Obispo County Parks. The County will also hold a public EIR scoping meeting on December 1, 2009 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm, at 148 South Wilson Street in Nipomo, San Luis Obispo County, California. The project is proposing a sand and gravel mining operation, including approximately 33.59-acres of proposed extraction / skimming area, 7.5-acres of sorting and stockpiling, and 1.54-acres of haul roads. The project is composed of three (3) excavation areas that total a maximum excavation volume of 105,500 cubic yards per year (36,000 from the north Salinas River excavation area, 60,000 from the south Salinas River exaction area, and 9,500 from the Vineyard Creek excavation area). A Notice of Preparation (NOP) of a Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) has been prepared and circulated for review for the Bob Jones Path - SLO to Ontario Road. The project proposes an approximate 4.4 mile bicycle path and pedestrian corridor roughly paralleling San Luis Obispo Creek, from the Octagon Barn located just south of the City of San Luis Obispo to the existing Bob Jones Path Ontario Road staging area located east of Avila Beach. Righetti Brothers, LLC Tract Map/Conditional Use Permit Notice of Preparation
A Notice of Preparation (NOP) of a Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) was prepared and circulated for review for a major agricultural cluster project, to subdivide an existing approximately 199 acre parcel into six residential parcels ranging in size from 1.08 to 2.47 acres, and one agriculture/open space parcel of 191.1 acres. The project includes off-site road improvements totaling .38 acres of site disturbance. Additional on-site improvements will result in the disturbance of approximately 9.9 acres of the 199 acre project area due to grading and construction for residential lots, road improvements, utility, water, and drainage improvements, and onsite wastewater management and water storage. ConocoPhillips proposes to increase the throughput at their Santa Maria Refinery by 10% to a maximum of 48,950 barrels per day and allow previously refined gas/oil petroleum liquids to be transported by truck to the Santa Maria Pump Station from Bakersfield and mixed with the crude oil. Semi-refined petroleum products are then shipped by pipeline from the Santa Maria Refinery to the Rodeo Refinery in the San Francisco Bay Area.
