Welcome to the Treasury and Tax Collection Division of the Office of the San Luis Obispo Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector.
Annual Property Tax Bills Are Now Being Mailed
The Annual Property Tax Bills for Fiscal Year 2015/16 are now being mailed. These bills feature a new design that is easier to read and were printed at a lower cost.
If you believe that a mortgage company or other lender intends to pay your property taxes, please check Box 8, "Important Messages" (yellow) on the property tax bill. If you see the notation "Information Copy", the original copy of your bill has been requested by your lender.
Please note that these new tax bills highlight the 1st installment Due Date of November 1st, as specified in California law. Previous versions of tax bills have, instead, emphasized the December 10th
Delinquency Date. After the Delinquency Date, California law requires that a 10% penalty be imposed on unpaid 1st installments.
Please contact the Tax Collector's Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or at (805) 781-5831 if you have specific questions about your tax bill.
