____________

Updated COVID-19 Vaccines

Everyone ages 6 months and up is recommended to get the updated 2023-2024 COVID-19 vaccine. The virus that causes COVID-19 is always changing, and the updated vaccines provide targeted protection against the strains currently causing the most infections and hospitalizations.

  • Everyone aged 5 years and older should get 1 dose of the updated Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.
  • People who are moderately or severely immunocompromised may get additional doses of updated COVID-19 vaccine.
  • Children aged 6 months–4 years need multiple doses of COVID-19 vaccines to be up to date, including at least 1 dose of updated COVID-19 vaccine.

COVID-19 vaccine recommendations will be updated as needed by CDC. See the 2023-2024 Vaccine Timing Chart in English and Spanish
