Diablo Canyon Independent Safety Committee

On June 20-21, 2024 the Diablo Canyon Independent Safety Committee will hold its second meeting of 2024. More details will be available closer to the date of the meeting at Diablo Canyon Independent Safety Committee(DCISC). Other meeting dates in 2024 and 2025 are October 9 & 10, 2024 and February 19-20, 2025.

 

Nuclear Regulatory Commission

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will be holding environmental scoping meetings on the Environmental Impact Statement to be prepared on PG&E’s License Renewal application. The meetings are as follows:

 

February 1, 2024: Virtual ONLY Public Scoping Meeting

Before the in-person meeting, the NRC staff will hold an “open house” from 5-6 p.m. for informal discussions and to answer questions from members of the public.

 

State Coastal Conservancy

On the State Coastal Conservancy’s February 15 Board Meeting agenda is a request for the Board to authorize the disbursement of $5 million to contract with a consultant to conduct resource assessments, planning, public outreach, and other services related to the conservation of the 12,000-acre Diablo Canyon Lands. The $5 million is part of an appropriation to the State Coastal Conservancy pursuant to SB 846. Details on the meeting may be found here:
