The County of San Luis Obispo has issued an Evacuation Warning for Cayucos residents in the vicinity of Whale Rock Reservoir
San Luis Obispo, CA – The County of San Luis Obispo has issued an Evacuation Warning for Cayucos residents in the vicinity of Whale Rock Reservoir to include:
- 24th St between Cass Ave and Morro Strand State Beach
Due to high flow release from Whale Rock Reservoir combined with continuing rain, residents on 24th St may experience property flooding.
Residents are reminded that if evacuations become necessary, emergency officials will use notification methods as appropriate such as Wireless Emergency Alerts, reverse telephone notification system and social media.
An American Red Cross Shelter will be open at 8:00 PM at the SLO Vets Hall, 801 Grand Ave in San Luis Obispo. Pets are welcome at the shelter.
