Red Cross Shelter Opens for Residents Displaced by Potential Flooding

The American Red Cross is opening a shelter for residents who are under an evacuation warning or displaced due to flooding.


San Luis Obispo, CA – The American Red Cross is opening a shelter for residents who are under an evacuation warning or displaced due to flooding. The shelter will be located at the Veterans Memorial Building, 801 Grand Ave in San Luis Obispo. The shelter will open at 8 PM on March 13 and will accept pets.

Emergency officials have placed various neighborhoods around the county under evacuation warnings due to localized flooding expected to begin occurring throughout the county early tomorrow morning. Any resident under an evacuation warning, experiencing flooding, or who is displaced from their home due to the storm is welcome at the shelter.

Residents are reminded that if evacuations become necessary, emergency officials will use notification methods as appropriate such as Wireless Emergency Alerts, reverse telephone notification system and social media.

SE ABRE ALBERGUE PARA RESIDENTES DESPLAZADOS POR INUNDACIONES

San Luis Obispo, CA – La Cruz Roja Americana est abriendo un refugio para los residents que se encuentran bajo una advertencia de evacuaci n o est n desplazados debido a las inundaciones. El refugio estar ubicado en el Veterans Memorial Building, 801 Grand Avenue, San Luis Obispo. El refugio abrir a las 8:00 PM el 13 del Marzo y aceptar mascotas.

Funcionarios de emergencia han colocado varios vecindarious alrededor del condado bajo advertencies de evacuaci n debido 2 inundaciones localizadas que se espera que comiencen a ocurrir en todo el condado mañana temprano. Cualquier residente bajo advertencia de evacuaci n, que experimente inundaciones o que sea desplazado de su hogar debido a la tormenta es bienvenido en el refugio.
