The community is invited to attend to an open house, hosted by PG&E, on June 20 from 6 - 8 pm at the Embassy Suites in San Luis Obispo.
In the interest of public safety, the County Office of Emergency Services wants to raise awareness of an upcoming free, community safety program.
PG&E is hosting a series of regional open houses to provide information about their Community Wildfire Safety Program. These open houses will provide information about wildfire safety and emergency preparedness, as well as allow the community to ask questions of PG&E representatives and provide feedback.
One component of the PG&E Community Wildfire Safety Program is Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS). Public Safety Power Shutoff is the de-energization of electrical lines during extreme fire conditions. Beginning with the 2019 fire season, all PG&E customers are potentially affected by a PSPS.
An open house will be hosted in San Luis Obispo on Thursday June 20, 2019 from 6 to 8 pm at the Embassy Suites SLO (333 Madonna Road, San Luis Obispo). This workshop is open to all PG&E customers in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties.
