Dairy Creek Wins Prestigious Award

The California State Association of Counties this week announced the Dairy Creek Innovation Project was a recipient of the 2021 Challenge Awards.

The California State Association of Counties this week announced the Dairy Creek Innovation Project was a recipient of the 2021 Challenge Awards. Considering there were a record number of entries (nearly 450), it's an honor to be chosen among the best of the best.

The Dairy Creek Innovation Project was supervised by our Department of Parks and Recreation and was chosen for "showcasing the amazing creative and collaborative solutions" in the issue of environmental and natural resources.

The award honors The Parks and Recreation Department for developing facilities, partnerships, and programs to turn an under-performing municipal golf course into a diverse recreational center that generates revenue. (If you haven't paid a visit to Dairy Creek recently, you should!)

The actual award will be presented early next year.
