County Real Property Easements
Real Property Services (RPS) negotiates and prepares easements to members of the public for the non-possessory right to use and/or enter onto County-owned real property. RPS also negotiates and finalizes easements obtained on behalf of County departments that require the ongoing use of privately owned land or facilities.
Easements have been created for the following purposes:
- Enhanced vehicular access to a school site
- Extension of a public trail
- Conservation easement for the restoration of an oak woodland
- Utility easements
Anyone can use this service.
The Board of Supervisors sets the fees for easements within the County of San Luis Obispo. For more information, please refer to the Central Services Department Fee Schedule.
