  • Visit the San Luis Obispo Clerk-Recorder and request to change your address.
  • Complete a new voter registration.
  • Email [email protected] or mail a letter with your name, birthdate, old residence address and new residence address. Include your mailing address if different than your residence; if a mailing address is not included with your address change request any prior mailing address will be removed.

When is the last day to register to vote in the March 3, 2020 Presidential Primary Election?

The last day to register to vote in the March 3, 2020 election is February 18, 2020. (February 17 is the official deadline, however, it is a holiday so the deadline moves to the next business day.) For a registration to be valid for this election, the registration form must be received in our office by February 18, 2020, either online or in person, or if mailed, it must be postmarked no later than that date. Register as soon as possible to ensure you receive election information on time. The Informed Voter deadline is February 3, 2020. If you register after February 3, 2020 you will only receive a notification card indicating your polling place; you will not receive the State Voter Guide or a County Sample Ballot.
