Welcome to Residential Wellness Counseling Walk-In Hours!

Welcome! If you have made it to this page it means that you are either waiting in the Zoom waiting room to be seen during “walk-in” hours or are interested in counseling. I commend and honor you for being here, whatever the reason may be. Reaching out for help shows incredible strength and a willingness to put effort into personal growth. Thank you for being patient!

In case we haven’t met, let me take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Andrew Hook. I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with the County of San Luis Obispo Behavioral Health Department. My title at Cal Poly is the Residential Wellness Counselor. I offer free and confidential counseling to Cal Poly students. My physical location is usually in yakʔitʸutʸu, but I am currently offering all virtual counseling via the secure and confidential platform of Zoom for Healthcare.

Virtual Walk-In Hour Details:

“Walk-In” hours are on Mondays and Thursdays from 2pm-4pm, excluding County/academic holidays and academic breaks. You have a chance to be seen at 2pm or at 3pm on these days. If you are in the virtual waiting room, it means that I am currently occupied in session. I will do my best to see you during walk-in hours. I invite people one at a time from the waiting room into the Zoom counseling room on a first come, first serve basis. The whole process is confidential, no one other than myself will know you are in the waiting room or in session with me. It is a possibility that I may not be able to help you during walk-in hours. If you would like to schedule an appointment for another time, please contact me at [email protected] I will respond as soon as possible!
