The Youth Substance Use Treatment program provides outpatient treatment and counseling services to youth facing substance use disorders.
Our program can also help address additional concerns including:

- Peer/ social issues
- Anger management

Who can use this service?
Services are available to individuals between the ages of 12 - 21 in SLO County. Individuals may start services on their own without a referral from others or by obtaining a referral from:
- School
- Probation
- Community Agency
- Directly by a parent(s) or guardian(s)
Is there a charge for this service?
Outpatient treatment costs are covered under MediCal and other participants costs will be based on a sliding fee scale. Service fees are waived for those referred directly from County of San Luis Obispo Probation.
Some services may be covered under other funding sources such as a CWS referral or specialized grants. Please ask when applying for services if that may be an option for you.
We are not able to accept private insurance at this time.

This service is available throughout the year during regular business hours except during scheduled holidays.

The program length will vary depending on the severity of substance use, and progress made while in treatment.
Yes, random drug testing is included in all levels of treatment.
Currently the only insurance we accept is Medi-cal. Any youth who are not covered by Medi-cal may attend services for a sliding scale fee.
