Drug Free Communities 101
What is this service?
This federal grant is aimed at providing Cal Poly and Cuesta College campuses and their surrounding communities with prevention strategies to address underage drinking – specifically for youth transitioning from high school to college - and reduce prescription drug misuse and abuse.
The "DFC 101" Coalition meets monthly on the second Thursday of each month from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Meetings are held at the Behavioral Health Prevention & Outreach conference room, 277 South Street, Ste. T, San Luis Obispo. The DFC 101 Coalition is a group of partners from community organizations, schools, law enforcement, media, parents, youth, healthcare, and other youth serving organizations.
The DFC 101 Coalition works closely with the Friday Night Live program to engage youth in opportunities to get involved.
