The Behavioral Health Department collaborates with several local agencies to raise awareness around suicide prevention during the month of September. Visit the September Suicide Prevention Awareness Month page online for a complete list of 2022 events and trainings.
In partnership with Cuesta College, the interactive Awareness Gallery raises awareness of common issues affecting students and engages them in making positive lifestyle choices. Through self-reflection, the gallery challenges attendees to rethink previous notions around the stigma associated with seeking behavioral health support. With this comes the opportunity to spark conversation and learn from each other.
Admission to the gallery is free and open to all community members. Audio guides in English and Spanish will be available.
