SLO County Agencies Work Together to Provide Food Resources During COVID-19

SLO community agencies and County departments team up to spread the word about food resources during COVID-19 health emergency and produce an informational video.

SLO County’s CalFresh Healthy Living recently began its project to create a series of collaborative videos to spread the word about food assistance resources in SLO County. Their goal is to create a series of short, informative, animated videos about the following resources in English and Spanish: CalFresh, Meals for Seniors, Food Delivery for Self-Isolating Residents, free school meals, WIC, SLO Food Bank, EBT/Market Match at farmers’ markets. These videos will include visuals, audio voiceovers and closed captioning and will be an inclusive outreach method to reach a wider audience.

The linked video contains county employees from the Department of Social Services, Department of Planning and Building, Department of Public Libraries, Sherriff’s Department, and Public Works.
