The Public Health Department is actively responding to COVID-19. At the same time, we continue to provide essential services in the safest way possible, including telephone or remote appointments (through your mobile phone or computer) and in-person visits when needed.

Planning a trip to the beach this week? Whether you surf, swim, run through the waves or just walk along the shores,  you can be in tune with the latest beach water quality testing results.  Every week, our Environmental Health team heads out to 19 beach water testing sites from San Simeon down to Oceano to test for three types of indicator bacteria, and reports the timely lab results via our mobile-friendly SurfSafeSLO
