ID Cards

Employees enrolled in County medical coverage will receive ID cards for both their medical and pharmacy insurance in the mail. Employees do not receive dental and vision ID cards. Please allow 7-10 days to receive your ID card in the mail.

Here's what you can expect from your ID cards:

Medical ID Cards

All employees will receive a new Blue Shield medical ID card for 2024. Medical ID cards were mailed out the week of December 18, 2023. If you do not receive your new ID card by January 1, 2024, contact Accolade at (866) 406-1275.

Employees will receive ID cards via mail upon their initial enrollment in medical coverage, and will only receive new ID cards thereafter if they have changed medical plans.

Blue Shield cards will be issued in the subscriber's name. To request a new ID card, contact Accolade at (866) 406-1275.

Employees can also create a Blue Shield account to print a digital ID Card. Employees can download the mobile Blue Shield App to access a digital ID card, view claims, find providers, etc.

Pharmacy ID Cards

Express Scripts

If you are enrolled in the PPO or EPO plan, you will use your Express Scripts card.

With the Express Scripts pharmacy benefit, ID cards are issued to the subscriber with subscriber name only. No ID cards are issued with dependent names.

High Deductible Health Plan Pharmacy

If you enroll in the HDHP, you will use your Medical Card with Blue Shield Pharmacy on it. 

Dental and Vision ID Cards

Employees do not receive a physical ID card for dental or vision. To utilize these benefits, employees will provide their Social Security Number (SSN) and plan group number to the provider. Plan group numbers can be found on the respective dental and vision webpages or on the last page of the Employee Benefits Brochure. 

Tax Savings Account (FSA/HSA) Debit Cards

If you are enrolled in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for the first time, your FSA debit card will be mailed to the address on file in BenXcel. If you currently have an FSA, you will not receive a new debit card each year. Your FSA debit card is valid for three years.

Register for the MySmartCare portal to monitor accounts, track claims, request debit cards for dependents, schedule reimbursements, etc. You can also download the mobile BCC MySmartCare App. 

For questions regarding your tax savings account, contact BCC at (800) 685-6100. If you did not receive your debit card, you can call and request a new one be sent.
