If you would not be able to hear sirens or would need help leaving your home, you need to complete and mail an Evacuation Assistance card. This card is included in the annual Emergency Planning calendar that is mailed to residents located within the Public Education Zone. You should complete and mail this card as soon as possible so officials would be prepared to help you in an emergency. If you don't receive the calendar you may request one by calling (805) 781-5011. If you move after you mail the card, please notify the County Office of Emergency Services at:
County Office of Emergency Services
1055 Monterey Street, Room D-430
San Luis Obispo, CA 93408
If you urgently need information or transportation assistance during an emergency, call (805) 543-2444. This number is staffed only during large-scale emergencies that could affect large numbers of people.
