Reverse 911 is one of the systems used in San Luis Obispo County to alert residents of any actions they may need to take during an emergency.
Reverse 911 allows officials to alert residents of an emergency and any actions they need to take. Messages can be developed and sent specifically to the affected area.
Unlike Wireless Emergency Alerts, which does not require registration, residents must opt-in and register their cellular telephones and Voice over IP (VoIP) phone numbers to receive Reverse 911 messages.
To register for Reverse 911 or learn more about the system, visit the County OES Reverse 911 webpage.
