Schedule a Building Inspection

NO INSPECTIONS WILL BE SCHEDULED ON FEBRUARY 12 AND FEBRUARY 17 IN OBSERVANCE OF COUNTY HOLIDAYS

A contractor or permit-holder schedules the applicable inspection(s) for a construction project, identified by its permit number. To schedule an inspection, please use the Department of Planning and Building’s Citizen Self-Service (CSS) portal or fill out the form below.

Inspections in the remote areas of the county take place on the following days:
  • Oak Shores - Monday, Wednesday or Friday
  • Running Deer Ranch - Tuesday or Thursday
  • California Valley or Cuyama - Wednesdays Only
The inspector will call you the morning of your inspection to provide a 2-hour time frame. We will do our best to accommodate any requests.
