Planning and Building Welcomes Xzandrea Fowler as Planning Division Manager and Environmental Coordinator.

The County of San Luis Obispo Department of Planning and Building recently welcomed Xzandrea Fowler as Planning Division Manager and Environmental Coordinator. With over 17 years of experience as a land use planning professional, Xzandrea most recently worked for the City of San Luis Obispo as the Deputy Director of Community Development. In this role, she led the City’s Long-Range Planning, Development Review and Engineering Review Divisions.

In her new position with the County, Xzandrea is responsible for all aspects of the Current and Environmental Planning Division. She leads a team of 25 staff.

“We are thrilled to welcome Xzandrea back to the Planning and Building Department for the second time in her career. With her advanced knowledge in the areas of planning, development and managing teams, combined with her experience working with the residents of San Luis Obispo County, Xzandrea is the right person to manage our Current Planning and Environmental Division,” said Trevor Keith, Director of Planning and Building.

Xzandrea replaces Ellen Carroll who retired from the position after working for the department for 40 years.
