Shandon Community Clean Up Day is Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 8 AM to 12P.M. or until full. Location of the cleanup is the Cal Trans yard at 444 W. Centre St. Local organizations are invited to participate!

As part of the Neighborhood Preservation Program, we help community members facilitate neighborhood cleanups. Staff assists the community in identifying a scope of work, budget, and fundraising opportunities for the cleanup. Over the years, these cleanups have removed several hundred junk cars, thousands of tons of scrap metal, old furniture, and other stored items from several communities throughout the county.

The next event is the Shandon Community Clean Up Day on Saturday, May 18, 2019. The event begins at 8 AM and goes until 12 p.m. or until collections bins are full. The event will take place in the parking lot at Cal Trans (444 W. Centre St).

Collection areas will be available for furniture, scrap metals, mattresses, and tires. Volunteers will also be organizing receipt of large appliances for recycling.

Vehicles will be collected for abatement and donation, based on a completed Vehicle Event Registration form (COD-1002) and DMV clearance. Pre-registration IS REQUIRED by May 13th for all vehicles because off-site pick up of junk vehicles is available by appointment only during the event hours. For availability of off-site pick up, please contact County Code Enforcement by calling (805) 788-2006.
