Cannabis Testing Facilities

Limitation on Use. Cannabis testing facilities may be permitted in the Commercial Service (CS) and Industrial (IND) land use categories. Cannabis testing facilities in the Commercial Service (CS) land use category are limited to sites within an Urban Reserve Line (URL) only.

Land Use Permit Required. Testing facilities of less than 20,000 square-feet require Minor Use Permit approval; testing facilities of 20,000 square-feet or more require Conditional Use Permit approval.

Location. Cannabis testing facilities shall not be located within six hundred (600) feet from any existing pre-school, elementary school, junior high school, high school, library, park, playground, recreation or youth center, licensed drug or alcohol recovery facility, or licensed sober living facility. Distance may be modified to less than six hundred (600) feet from any library, park, playground, recreation center, licensed drug or alcohol recovery facility or licensed sober living facility through Conditional Use Permit approval subject to required findings.

Setbacks. Testing facilities must operate within a fully enclosed building that meets required building setbacks.
