Probation Financial Declaration

This service is for Defendants who are on formal probation to determine their ability to pay for the use of a Public Defender.

This service is provided free of charge.

What is the process?

Step 1: Determination of Ability to Pay

When a Public Defender is appointed in Court, the Judge orders the Defendant to report to the County Officer at the financial evaluation booth to evaluate the Defendant's ability to pay.

Step 2: Financial Declaration Form

The Financial Declaration form is then used to determine a Defendant's ability to pay for the use of the Public Defender.

This service is available throughout the year during regular business hours except during scheduled holidays.
